BUSINESS
The Center for Business Performance Management (CBPM) at The Fisher College is one of three global centers dedicated to research and curriculum development in business performance management. Their partner institutions include the Cranfield School of Management in the UK and Peking University’s Guanghua School of Management in China. CBPM has ongoing contact with faculty at Peking University. Recently, for example, under the sponsorship of CBPM, one of the senior faculty from Fisher College presented two papers at Guanghua. On an ongoing basis CBPM collaborates on research projects, surveys and new initiatives.

COLLEGE OF FOOD, AGRICULTURAL & BIOLOGICAL ENGINEERING
In 2006, a team led by Dr. Karen Mancl and 4 other OSU scientists and engineers from the College of Food, Agricultural & Biological Engineering, the School of Environment and Natural Resources, and the Department of Microbiology engaged in a scientific exchange program sponsored by the US Department of Agriculture and the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture. The project was entitled "The Importance of Sustainable Agriculture to Environmental Quality in the Countryside." A total of 6 Chinese universities were visited by the group. The team met and collaborated with faculty at the following institutions:

Early March, 2006, Dr. Larry C. Brown hosted a group of 4 professors from the College of Water Resources and Hydropower Engineering (CWRHE), Wuhan University, Hubei Province, China. The group was led by Professor Mao Zhi, director of International Programs of CWRHE, and member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. The group gave presentations on agriculture water management and water conservation in China. The presentations can be viewed at the following website:

Lin Ba is very active in fostering collaborative relationships between OSU and educational, cultural, and governmental institutions within China; particularly within the cities of Wuhan and Hefei. Dr. Ba is a member of the Wuhan University Ohio Alumni Association, and is also an active member of the Columbus Sister Cities International Hefei Committee.

MATERIALS SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING
The Department of Materials Science and Engineering has three adjunct professors in Shenyang at the Chinese Academy of Science’s Institute of Metals Research (IMR). Additionally, a group of OSU Materials Science and Engineering faculty has an arrangement with the IMR that has led to an exchange of students between the organizations.

Dr. Li is the assistant director of the National East Asian Languages Resource Center (NEALRC) at OSU. He is very active in fostering collaborative relationships between OSU and educational, cultural, and governmental institutions within China; particularly with those in the city of Wuhan and with Hubei Province. Dr. Li is also a member of the Wuhan University Ohio Alumni Association, and teaches courses in Chinese calligraphy.
