Business and Government Partners

Columbus Sister Cities International

Columbus Sister Cities International, Inc. (CSCI) is a nonprofit organization that works on behalf of Greater Columbus to educate, enlighten and bring about business opportunities to Franklin County and its seven sister cities. CSCI has been the facilitator of business, education and cultural programs such as business missions, artist and professor sabbaticals, art exhibits, medical exchanges, cultural arts performances and university student internship programs. CSCI is also experienced in hosting government and business delegations and has a network of high-level community government leaders who are dedicated to its mission and committed to the success of its programming. CSCI holds membership with Sister Cities International and stands by its mission "to create and strengthen partnerships between U.S. and international communities in an effort to increase global cooperation at the municipal level, to promote cultural understanding and to stimulate economic development."

Today, Columbus has seven Sister Cities, including the city of Hefei, China and Tainan City in Taiwan. The Institute for Chinese Studies and CSCI has recently expanded joint efforts to broaden and deepen collaborative ties between cultural, governmental, commercial, and educational institutions in Columbus and Hefei, China. For more information, please contact CSCI’s executive director, Ms. Donna Vroom at ddvroom@columbus.gov
